Toyota T-Connect Cloud Misconfiguration (2022 to 2023)

Toyota T-Connect is a connected car telematics platform operated by a Toyota subsidiary with customer location and account data.

Discovery. The incident surfaced in 2022 to 2023 after unusual activity was identified in the vendor's environment.

Investigation. External forensics confirmed unauthorised access affecting customer data.

Notification. Downstream customers were notified and required to review their own exposure.
