PBI Research Services MOVEit Data Exposure (2023)

PBI Research Services is a US data processor supporting pension funds with beneficiary records and MFT-based file exchanges.

Discovery. The incident surfaced in 2023 after unusual activity was identified in the vendor's environment.

Investigation. External forensics confirmed unauthorised access affecting pension records.

Notification. Downstream customers were notified and required to review their own exposure.
